After months of speculation and rumours over whether Dannii Minogue would return to The X Factor for the 2009 series, she has finally agreed a deal with the ITV1 show.
According to an unnamed insider at The X Factor, the Australian judge has confirmed she will be back for her third series after having a holiday with her husband. Dannii Minogue said earlier this week that she’d decide on whether to return to the sixth series of The X Factor after having a holiday.
There have been doubts over whether she would return after reports of rivalry between herself and Girls Aloud judge Cheryl Cole. However an insider has confirmed to a national tabloid the Australian singer would “definitely” be back.
The source commented by saying: “The chances of Dannii making a return were looking exceptionally bleak as recently as a fortnight ..read more
When Girls Aloud took their 2009 Our of Control Tour to the Newcastle MetroRadio Arena this week, the North-East went crazy, giving the girls a welcome return to the region.
The five-piece girl band arguably performed their best show yet to a jam-packed arena, where the baying crowd were literally on their feet all night.
In a one hour and 40-minute energy-filled set, where screaming fans cheered and clapped every time Geordie girl Cheryl Cole opened her mouth, the girls put on a stunning and flawless show, amid fireworks, glitter and a platform that transported them across the arena to a second stage towards the back.
Singing all their old favourites, along with the new tracks from their Out of Control album, they barely stopped to take a breath, and performing covers of Britney Spears’ Womaniser, the Pointer Sisters’ Jump and James Morrison’s Broken Strings ..read more
Rumours have been circulating lately that Dannii Minogue‘s future as an X Factor judge is still uncertain as she still hasn’t signed her contract, even though The X Factor auditions have already kicked off.
Although Simon Cowell predicted a few months ago that the Australian judge would return for another series, negotiations over her contract have ground to a halt, sparking rumours that she is still undecided.
An insider at the ITV1 show has revealed that Dannii felt she was “bullied” last year after receiving a lot of negative press over rumours about her relationship with Cheryl Cole were hard to cope with.
“It was tough for Dannii last year and she got a lot of negative press. A person can only take so much before asking, ‘Is it really worth it?‘” They told a national tabloid. “Dannii felt bullied by Sharon during her first ..read more
Lily Allen has hit out at Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham and their husbands in a new interview with a French football magazine.
The ‘Smile‘ singer told SoFoot that English footballers are “too stupid” to realise that they are there to play football and not “show off in London“, The Sun translates.
Allen said: “The Beckhams are sickening. Everyone knows Victoria is a monster. I’d rather shoot myself between the eyes than be a WAG.“
Of Cheryl Cole, she said: “She is just a bitch. She represents everything I hate. She is stupid, superficial and as ugly outside as inside.“
Regarding Cheryl’s husband Ashley, Allen added: “He is the worst, he disgusts me. He jumps on everything that moves. I am not criticising just to criticise, but I have met him several times. He is revolting.“

Premiership footballer Ashley Cole has decided to build his Girls Aloud wife Cheryl Cole her own recording studio at their Surrey Mansion.
The Chelsea & England football star is said to have put aside £100,000 to get a custom built recording studio at their home so that Cheryl can work on her solo projects away from Girls Aloud.
One source told a national tabloid: “It shows that Cheryl and Ashley are still putting roots down together. It also shows she is looking toward a long career in music after the TV work has dried up because a studio like that requires a big commitment.
“Most people have little project studios at home based around a computer and a keyboard. We’re not talking a little home studio – this is a proper professional facility that will need a proper sound engineer.”
