Baby Spice and Ginger Spice both took their respective partners along to the gig, which no doubt brought back memories for the girls, who last performed at Wembley arena 11 years ago.

With no red carpet arrivals at the gig, the Nineties pop icons dressed down in jeans as they went to see the manufactured band perform their latest show in their Out of Control Tour. Geri wasn’t only interested in enjoying the show.

The gig gave her the opportunity to examine her former protegees in action. Geri played a major part in forming Girls Aloud, as she was one of the judges on the TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals back in 2002, and personally championed Chery Tweedy as a potential member of the group.

Speaking about the group last year, Geri said: “I’m so proud of Cheryl Cole. I really fought hard to put her through. I love that I opened that little window of opportunity for her and now she’s run with it.“

Despite Geri’s role in forming the massive success which is Girls Aloud, and Cheryl in particular, the group haven’t always been so complimentary about their predecessors. When Spice Girls briefly reformed for a reunion tour in 2007, Cheryl Cole appeared to criticise the group by insisting Girls Aloud would never reform once they split.

Cheryl said at the time: “It just wouldn’t be seemly. When we finish, we’ll finish on top. And there’ll be no comeback. We could hardly go out as Girls Aloud when we’re old and wrinkly. We would have to call ourselves Old Girls Aloud – and that would never do.‘

From what i can gather, and what i have been told by @L0wey, in between Cheryl being transferred to the b-stage via the flying platform, and arriving on the smaller stage, her skirt has somehow come off.

What Darren thinks is when Cheryl removed her harness upon arriving at the b-stage from the flying platform, the skirt has somehow got caught up with it or fallen off. Either way, she lost her skirt, and the gent has very kindly given me some before and after photos to share with you guys.

As the below Girls Aloud pictures show, Cheryl Cole flashing her perfectly pert bum on stage, rivalling the peachy cheeky girls at their own game. The X Factor judge wears the ridiculously short skirt, or should that be a belt, as part of Girls Aloud’s current Out of Control Tour.

The very skimpy attire also gave fans another glimpse of the stunners tattooed left cheek, and ink work on her right thigh.

Now that’s certainly no bum deal.

In other Cheryl Cole News, a few weeks back, Cheryl was complaining she hates looking skinny, and the fact that people call her ‘flatty batty’ really gets to her. Its ok complaining about the way you look, but it seems Cheryl is now doing something about it.

She’s been hard at work busting out all the moves on stage during her Girls Aloud Out of Control Tour, and it appears as if she’s got some real curves to go with those sexy outfits now.

Thankfully when the excited crowd made it through the doors, they were treated to a hugely entertaining evening, with Girls Aloud proving they are still Britain’s number 1 girl band.

From a sassy looking ‘The Promise’ performance to the sugar rush of a closing medley of hits, this concert ticked all the boxes in how a successful live concert should be run. Girls Aloud gave the crowd a sexy pole-dancing routine dressed in skintight PVC dominatrix costumes to Britney’s Womanizer.

It was Sarah Harding who often put the most vigour into the occasionally raunchy dance routines, but Cheryl Cole was easily the crowds favourite. Her stint on The X Factor have turned the pop babe into a national sweetheart, every time the babe was on the big screens, brought deafening screams from the crowd.

The show delivered as a spectacle, too, with the night’s stand-out moment seeing the group move on to a raised platform, and travel across the crowd to perform at the back of the hall. Hysteria ensued, and brought the thought that perhaps those security checks were needed after all.
