The most talked about girl band in the country right now has to be Girls Aloud, and they landed in Belfast for the Ireland leg of their Out of Control Tour on April 28th 2009.
Kicking off the first of three shows at the Odyssey Arena, the stunning five-piece proved themselves to be true Queens of pop yet again.

Girls Alouds Out of Control Tour came to London at the O2 Arena on Sunday 26th April 2009, and being their fifth tour, it was the most professional of their career. All went well apart from Cheryl Cole being trapped under the stage for most of the opening song, as her rising plinth failed to rise.
The girls show was indeed very racy, and saw the girls dressed up in Rocky Horror space vixen gear, performing pole dancing routines and showing a whole lot of leg. The girls have more than 20 hits under their belts, so Cheryl and the gang were free to pick and choose which songs they wanted to perform, and squeeze the rest into a mega-mix. Girls Aloud have been through the wars whilst on their current Out of Control Tour, revealed Sarah Harding and show insiders. The girls have been left black and blue by their intensive dance routines.
A firm favourite of the fans is the Girls Aloud hit ‘Fix me Up,’ the five girls do a suggestive pole dance each on their own podium, but according to lead singer, Sarah Harding, its anything but sexy from their point of view.
“Look at my arm – I’m not going to be able to hide that, am I?” She told the Daily Star, pointing to a huge bruise. “It’s full-on from the first song. We decided to really go for it. God knows what our arms will look like by the end of the tour.“

With 20 consecutive Top 10 hits already under their belts, including four number ones, there was no shortage of material when the girls staged the second night of their Girls Aloud Out of Control tour in Sheffield.
It wasn’t just the fireworks which exploded when Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh made their grand entrance onto the stage, shooting up on individual platforms elevated above the sell-out crowd below. The fans went wild.

Girls Aloud have been training for their Out of Control Tour for 6 gruelling months now, and you could see their effort had really paid off. The crowd were screaming as they waited for their favourite band to hit the stage. And they kicked off the show with a big bang with their chart-topping hit, The Promise.
