The final 61 acts who made it to the next level of competition received some words of encouragement and inspiration from the judges.
The hopefuls include Kitty Brucknell, James Michael, Craig Colton, Goldie Cheung and Joe Cox. They survived the cull, and were able to escape elimination.
They were lucky enough to be given the chance to perform in Wembley Arena where about 5,000 people will be their audience. This is before the judges would choose their final contestants whom they would coach.
Louis Walsh reminded the contestants that what they are going to embark on is a make or break performance and their fate in the competition rested on that very moment. As if their nerves weren’t enough, Louis Walsh surely increased the anxiety and the feeling of pressure among the contestants.

Although Cheryl Cole may not be on the US version of “X Factor” as a judge anymore, there is one current judge who still values Cheryl’s friendship and it is Paula Abdul. It is reported that Paula sent Cheryl a giant bouquet of flowers to which Cheryl immediately tweeted to her followers. She captioned the picture “Oh wow… I just received the most beautiful flowers from @Paul Abdul.” Cheryl also added “Than you sooo much for my gorgeous flowers and kind words. So thoughtful!”
Paula reportedly wrote back how thrilled she was that Cheryl had liked the flowers and even told her that she would love to say “your welcome” in person.
UK singer Cheryl Cole has reportedly said that she wants to be that person that singer Britney Spears can look up to and feels that she can help her feel better about herself. Singer Cheryl Cole seems to be a good sport; we heard that she extended praise to her UK “X Factor” replacement Tulisa Contostavlos. According to reports, Cheryl phoned Tulisa shortly after the show launched on Saturday and she congratulated her on a job well done. Cheryl’s response was so not what Tulisa expected, especially since she has been compared to Cheryl by fans throughout the season.
Nevertheless, Tulisa expressed her appreciation for Cheryl’s support; everyone were under the impression that Cheryl would be jealous, one publication reported. We also heard that Cheryl has given Tulisa some advice on how to succeed in her current post, Tulisa was even invited to her birthday party some months ago.
According to reports, UKsinger Cheryl Cole and “X Factor USA” producer and judge Simon Cowell seem to have patched up their differences. As most would recall, Cheryl was upset and felt humiliated after Simon fired her as a judge on his reality show.Simon reportedly apologized to Cheryl and even explained the reasons why he had to fire her; he also told her that he wanted to be friends again. We heard that Simon reached out to Cheryl and she responded back with a text making light of the situation and the way she was fired.
