Cheryl Cole’s last remaining chance of winning The X Factor this year lays firmly with Joe McElderry. Joe started singing at a young age, and originally auditioned in 2007 to appear on The X Factor.
Despite going to the audition venue, he walked away as he felt he was too young for such an undertaking.
But over the next few years, Joe stuck with the singing, and reapplied in 2009, where he wowed the judges throughout the entire audition process. He managed to get some pretty high praise from Simon Cowell throughout.
But will Joe McElderry be able to overcome his nerves and win the crown, and that £1 million record contract?

As we know ‘Cheryl Cole’s Night In‘ is airing this Saturday at 6.30 p.m and Cheryl will be chatting to last years X Factor winner, Alexandra Burke as well as performing her two new singles.
When performing her first single ‘Fight For This Love‘ she wore a very daring dress slashed at the hip, (see below) along with her hair in a bun she looked like a Ninja. Taking three hours just to record the first half of the hour long show which was only recording ‘Fight For This Love’ and ‘Three Words’.
A fan from the studio in London quoted on the time it took to film everything, “There were sequences to re-do and outfits to change but she did keep apologising.“
And for all Ashley Cole haters you will be pleased to know he not only went to support her whilst filming but blew kisses to her and was even seen singing along to her performances!!!
For the second half of her show which was only filmed last night, Cheryl was wearing a gorgeous orange dress whilst talking and laughing with her good friend Alex Burke. Cheryl’s final act in this years X Factor, Joe McElderry even came to watch her film.
This seems a lot of time wasted on just an hour long show when the X Factor Final is only a few days away but we have to remember Cheryl is earning £100,000 for it so wouldn’t you.

Late last night we published a few posts from Joe McElderry’s Homecoming Gig at The Sage, a gig which attracted tens of thousands of screaming fans, not only for Joe, but for Cheryl Cole too.
The X Factor mentor took her only hope of winning the show back to his home town of South Shields, where he performed for his loyal supporters at the legendary Sage venue.
The bookies favourite of winning the show stopped off at his old school, took a trip home to see his family and then performed at the Sage on Gateshead Quayside, and Cheryl with an X Factor Film Crew came along for the ride.
Cheryl Cole beamed as she introduced her act, where he then sung Journey’s power ballad, Dont Stop Believin, which he performed on The X Factor a few weeks ago. The crowd sang every word along with him. One fan named Ashleigh said: “Joe was amazing and has a unreal voice and Cheryl was gorgeous as usual .. JOE TO WIN xx”
Excerpts of his homecoming gig will be shown on Saturdays Live X Factor Final. Cheryl and Joe will be touring the country this week in an attempt to drum up as much support as possible, with the aim of hopefully getting more votes on Saturday for Joe.
It has been confirmed that Joe McElderry will be performing a duet with George Michael, while Stacey Soloman will be joined by Michael Buble and Olly Murs will team up with Robbie Williams.
