Cheryl and Ashley Cole put on a rare display of unity last night amid speculation that their marriage is on the rocks.
The A-List couple were seen enjoying a night out with fellow Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts. Cheryl was spotted without her £160,000 wedding ring on during the last two weeks on The X Factor, sparking speculation there is trouble in paradise for the pair.
Earlier in the evening, premiership footballer Ashley Cole dutifully watched his wife perform her debut single, Fight For This Love at the special Children In Need Concert held at the Royal Albert Hall. Cheryl was dressed in a white military outfit accompanied by dancers as she wowed the audience with her chart topping single.
She then had a change of costume as she entered onto the stage with Snow Patrol to sing the band’s hit, Set Fire To The Third Bar. Ashley, Cheryl and Nicola later headed off to the May Fair hotel for drinks at the bar after the concert. One onlooker said: “They were all sat around the table having a really good time. They were drinking and appeared really relaxed as they laughed and joked.“
But the joking didn’t seem to last until the following morning, as both Cheryl and Ashley were spotted leaving the hotel, both failing to raise a smile for the waiting fans and paparazzi. The pair have only been seen together a handful of times since it was revealed Ashley Cole Was Cheating nearly two years ago.
Despite Cheryl reportedly fighting hard to overcome the bitter hurt she felt on learning of Ashley’s infidelity, sources claim the relationship has never recovered. A friend of the family said: “They still have the occasional moment of fun but they both know, particularly Cheryl, that this isn’t going to be forever. Supporting Cheryl doesn’t sit well with Ashley, who feels he needs to be the alpha male.“
And Cheryl has previously hinted that things are still not right in the Cole household. Just last week she answered a fans question about soul mates: “I believe in soul mates, yes, but I believe you also have to work at love.” And recently in an interview, she claimed the only people she really trusted was her mother and her dog, Buster.

People need to give them space. We don't know what the real story is and we're just sitting here making things up, it might not be how we think it is. Everyone just needs to give them space.
Hope they will stay together, they make a good couple.
Ashley better not hurt her again. i'm gonna go hunt him down.

cheryl cole should be left alone because she does not
need scoop hungry media reporters when reporters
need to report war in afghanistan instead of distroying
celebrities lives there should be a shutterbug exposing
media reporters lives see how they like it because i like cheryl cole
she do not deserve this and repoters should do reports on a cat
stuck in a tree and us cheryl cole fans should band together to protect

she needs to be giving a bit of space. i feel sorry for her because of the all of the horrible press its hard being famous.
