Cheryl Cole continues to dominate the world of showbiz today, as her debut solo album – 3 Words – jumped right into the number one spot, as we previously predicted.
The sexy Girls Aloud singer achieved her chart double today with her debut solo single, Fight For This Love and her album, 3 Words both reaching number one.
Her single officially became the fastest selling track of the year last Sunday, selling 290,00 copies in its first week alone. But her album, 3 Words had big competition from the likes of Michael Jackson and Michael Buble in the album charts this week, but Cheryl did it, she out-sold the lot of them.
The Official UK Charts Company said it was a “fabulous achievement” for Cheryl Cole. “3 Words now looks set to be one of the biggest albums of this coming Christmas,” said Martin Talbot.
In addition to her album hitting number one today, her solo single, Fight For This Love held onto its number one position, despite new entries from the likes of Westlife and Jay Sean.

cheryl cole's 3 words album is fantastic. i am not surprised to hear that it reached the number one spot, just like her single fight for this love. all i could say is the album is amazing, it's got brilliant tracks and i love it. well done cheryl. love you lots.
