The Geordie babe was given a congratulatory hug by Sarah Harding outside The X Factor studio, and also took the time to blow a kiss to all her waiting fans who were waiting outside in the cold, rainy night.
And Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud looked overjoyed that Cheryl had done so well on the current series of the popular ITV talent show. Joe McElderry is still odds on favourite to win the show, with millions of pounds expected to be bet on him this week.
If Joe does win The X Factor, it will be the second year running that one of Cheryl Cole’s acts has scooped the crown, after Alexandra Burke won on Cheryl’s rookie year in 2008. Cheryl ditched her usual glamorous frock on Sunday nights live result show, as she wore a glam black dress with an unusually long train.
After the show had finished, Cheryl was seen outside the studio in a tight pair of white jeans, a checked shirt and grey jacket. She grinned and gave thumbs up to the paparazzi as she left the studio.
