Cheryl Cole: ‘Ashley Cole Is Nothing Like His Bad-Boy Reputation’

Cheryl Cole has come out and made a sensational new claim about my least-favourite person in the world, her husband Ashley Cole, claiming he isn’t such a bad sort after all.

Ashley Cole famously pissed the whole of England off last year after it was revealed he was a slimy love rat who was cheating on the nations sweet heart with a tarty hairdresser. But Cheryl Cole came out swinging last week as she defended him in a tell-all interview with Glamour Magazine.

She said that Ashley “broke down” over the continued media interest and claims that their marriage is on the rocks when Cheryl ventures out without her £160,000 wedding ring on. But this week Cheryl said she only takes her ring off to make a fashion statement.

She said: “People have this idea that he’s flash, ignorant and disloyal, basically all the ugliest traits a husband could have. But he’s the opposite of all that – he’s never rude or aggressive, and will go out of his way to make other people happy. He’s shy and cute, but there’s no way of proving that to people.”

Following a highly dodgy autobiography, and a badly-managed move from Arsenal to Chelsea has also contributed to Ashley’s bad image in the press, who all think he’s the epitome of the spoilt modern footballer. His obscene gestures while on the football pitch don’t help either, as you can see in the picture above.
