I honestly cant believe people have complained over this to the television watchdog, Ofcom. A number of X Factor ‘fans’ have complained to Ofcom over Cheryl Cole and Whitney Houston‘s performances on the show last week.
Viewers of the show, which pulled its biggest ever audience of 15 million viewers, aired their grievances to the media regulator after last weekends performances of Cheryl Cole and Whitney Houston.
It is thought that many of the complaints centre around allegations that Cheryl Cole and Whitney Houston mimed parts of their singles when their performances had been billed as live.
Despite rumours that Cheryl Cole Would be Miming her performance of Fight For This Love, a large majority of fans (including me), agree that Cheryl Cole DID sing live. There has been no official comment on whether Whitney mimed her comeback single, Million Dollar Bill.
Other complaints sent in to Ofcom were down to Houston’s odd behaviour after she finished her song. The 1980′s superstar was seen staring at the ground for long periods of time, she also struggled to answer questions from the shows host, Dermot O’Leary, which recently gave cause for Dannii Minogue to Slate Houston‘s comeback performance.
We have reached out to Ofcom over the complaints, where a representative got back to us with information that the media regulator took 32 complaints over the matter.
That is in stark contrast with over 4,000 complaints received over Dannii Minogue’s sexuality slur on live TV, where she outed Danyl Johnson as gay.

I think cheryls performance was amazing. And she didn’t mime one bit of it she sang fully live. Love cheryl loads. Can’t wait for the x factor tonight.

i love cheryl's performance on the x factor. i thought it's incredibly outstanding. singing the song live was just utterly brilliant, and what can you say about the dance routine, it's just fantastic. can't wait to see her perform again. well done and love you lots cheryl.

i still don't understand why people have critic on cheryl cole.
she is absolutely Amazing, the best of the best, her solo music is fantastic.
its impossible to not love her.

I think she did really really well. what's wrong with these people. It's really obvious she didn't mime it, you can hear her breathing in the performance when she doesn't breath in the actual track.
I can safely say that performance was one of the best i've seen someone do LIVE while dancing.
How can people say she's miming it. Gosh i want to hunt them down.
But heyy, it could be a compliment. People are saying it sounds like the original, which means she did really well LIVE.

yes cheryl did do well in her performance, on the bits that she did do live! but sadly she did mime most of it and this was made public before the show went out. so people have a right to be a little annoyed considering her position on the show. everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

cheryl's peformance on X Factor was amazing nd she did a fantastic job…. ther is no way cheryl mimed…. i loved th whole thing about the performance…. the singing live and the dance routine.. which i hav actually learnt in 1 day

Actually, she sang the verses live but when the chorus kicked-in each time it switched on the lead vocal as part of the backing-track. I aint knocking the girl, it was a very entertaining performance, but it definitely wasn't a live lead vocal in the choruses.

Cheryl you did that performance on the x-factor frantic and i enjoyed as well. cheryl you are amazing woman and you are the best judge on the x-factor. love angie aspatria cumbria
