Cheryl Cole Demands £6 Million Surrey Mansion in Ashley Cole Divorce

Cheryl Cole put a brave face on as she attended a Lady GaGa gig at the O2 Arena on Friday evening, smiling and waving for the fans who were close enough to get a glimpse of the heartbroken star.

Despite the pain and hurt, Cheryl has laid down the law to her love cheat husband Ashley Cole, and warned him: “I’m keeping the house.“

She told him in a telephone call that he CAN go home to pick up his things, but she DOESN’T want him begging for forgiveness while he’s there, and he CANNOT stay the night. A source close to Cheryl claims the warring couple have been in communication all week about their future.

Despite him begging on the telephone, and leaving sorry letters at the house, Cheryl is continuing to stand her ground insisting the split is final. But pals of Cheryl say she has not yet called in divorce lawyers and fear it leaves Ashley with the tiniest opening to try and win her back, just like he did in 2008.

“Cheryl has had a lot of contact with Ashley. They’re discussing what’s going to happen when he gets back,” a source told the News of The World. She wants to stay in the house. Ashley knows that. “She isn’t ruling out meeting him face to face – it’s likely he’ll have to come to the house to get his stuff, but she’s made it clear he won’t be staying the night.“

Ashley is said to have inundated his wife with pleading texts, trying to convince her their marriage is worth saving. And he’s even vowed to not go near another woman for six months to prove his love for Cheryl. Cheryl famously denied Ashley sex for six months when she took him back in 2008, so maybe he’s hoping some reverse-psychology will work here???

Our insider said: “It would be a sign that he is still committed to her. If there’s any other girl then that will be the final nail in the coffin.” (Petty he couldn’t be committed to her when they were in an exclusive relationship.)

Cheryl Cole has also told her friends she will not start another relationship, despite continued rumours of her getting increasingly close to Derek Hough, who has been continuing on his quest to woo her all this week.

“She has made it very clear she needs to be by herself and isn’t going to rush into another relationship,” the source said. “But she hasn’t told Ashley that – she feels he deserves to sweat after what he’s put her through.“

Derek Hough is said to be “completely besotted” with the Girls Aloud singer. Who wouldn’t be? A source said the chemistry between the couple is obvious: “Derek and Cheryl loved spending time with one another and get on really, really well. He makes her laugh.” A pal of Derek’s told us: “He’s been saying she’s the most beautiful girl in the world. He said nothing happened physically between them in LA but they got very close and he hoped to see something developing in the future.“
