Maroon 5’s new score Payphone knocked Cheryl’s number one Call My Name off the UK charts after just one week. Maroon 5’s Payphone registered over 141,000 in sales numbers. This is the band’s first UK number one single which also featured American rapper Wiz Khalifa. Adam Levin’s Maroon 5’s other highest grossing hits are Makes Me Wonder and Moves Like Jagger were in 2007 and 2011 lately.
The immense success of Payphone made Cheryl’s Call My Name to be satisfied with the number two seat in the charts. This also makes Cheryl to be denied at the top of the album charts, which teen wonder Justin Bieber, clinched it with his third album Believe, selling 3000 more copies than Cheryl’s latest release, A Million Lights, as sales figures suggested.
However, A Million Lights secured to be in second place after all.
