Cheryl Cole: ‘I can’t fail like Posh Spice’

X Factor babe Cheryl Cole who recently launched her solo career is not only battling nerves, but also the thought she might fail like Posh Spice did.

Despite having massive success with Girls Aloud, Cheryl is petrified of going it alone, and has said “I cant fail like posh did.”

Cheryl Cole’s solo single, Fight For This Love was played for the first time earlier this month on Radio One, and so far has been well received by fans, but Cheryl’s battle is due to commence when her single is officially released on 19th October.

And she has an even bigger battle on her hands one week later when her album is released on the same date as and her protegee Alexandra Burke’s album is released.

A so-called ‘source’ said: “Cheryl has been struggling on the set of The X Factor recently, she’s been so stressed out. Last year, she was a little bit naive and nice to everyone, but this year she’s got a lot more on her place – and it shows.“

The source continued: “If her solo career goes well, she can think about breaking the US, which she’s desperate to do. If it doesn’t, she could go the way of Victoria Beckham, who was finished as a solo artist after only one song. That’s Cheryl’s biggest fear. She’s been smoking far more recently, which is always a sign of anxiety in her life.”

Cheryl has finally given into her nerves, and has now agreed to perform her solo single Fight for This Love on The X Factor. She was having second thoughts about performing on the show recently. She’s also finished shooting the video to her single last weekend, which is to be exclusively revealed on ITV1 on a yet-to-be-announced date.

So will Cheryl Cole’s solo career be a success, or is she another Victoria Beckham?
