X Factor judge and national treasure Cheryl Cole has opened her heart for the first time since her split with husband Ashley Cole, insisting she is terrified about single life.
The Girls Aloud stunner told of her misery after calling time on their marriage over Ashley’s infidelities with five separate women. “I’m scared stiff about being single again after all this time – petrified. I’ve been with him for so long.“
And friends close to Cheryl say she HAS now consulted top divorce lawyers, insisting Fiona Shackleton will be handling her divorce. Fiona famously represented Sir Paul McCartney in his divorce to leech Heather Mills, who only got £24 million of his £900 million fortune.
Single Cheryl has revealed her pain at finding herself single again after six years, admitting “Part of me can’t help but be terrified.“ Cheryl told her friends that she’ll revert back to her maiden name, becoming Cheryl Tweedy again, and also: “I know I’m doing the right thing by moving on. Deep down I know it’ll be OK.“
The friends also say Cheryl wants “nothing” from the £82,000-a-week footballer apart from their two dogs, Coco and Buster. Rumours that she wants to keep their £6 million mansion for herself appear to be incorrect.
Meanwhile Ashley Cole has now ditched his wedding ring – the first time he has been seen without it for years. A source said: “He has taken it off as a mark of respect – to show her he knows he’s messed everything up. He’s praying there will be a day he can put it back on again. He looks utterly miserable and spends his entire time texting on his mobile phone. He clearly can’t get Cheryl out of his mind.“
