X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has revealed that she initially hated ‘Love Machine’, a massive hit by her band, Girls Aloud.

The song, which debuted on Girls Aloud’s second album ‘What Will The Neighbours Say‘, and reached number two in the charts when it hit shelves in 2004. But the song wasn’t much appreciated by Cheryl, who revealed she thought the song was “crap” when it was first shown to her.

The 26-year-old singer told Q Magazine: “I remember listening to ‘Love Machine’ and thinking, ‘Wa cannot put this crap out’. That’s what I said to the label: ‘It sounds like something Busted would do!

But Cheryl Cole’s initial concerns proved wrong, as the song became a huge hit, with the band going on to produce a string of 20 consecutive UK Top 10 Singles, which broke all previous girl band records.

And Girls Aloud have sold a massive 10 million records worldwide, making it’s 5 members, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole more than £50 million pounds between them. And Cheryl’s recent success with The X Factor has only aided their popularity as a girl group.

The girls are currently on a year-long break while they persue solo projects, but plan to reunite for a new studio album in the latter part of 2010.
