Cheryl Cole Lined Up to Replace Simon Cowell

Pop princess Cheryl Cole is currently being lined up to replace her boss, Simon Cowell as the main face of X Factor.

Earlier this week, The Mirror reported that Simon Cowell would be leaving the popular UK talent show to setup a global entertainment company with TopShop boss Sir Philip Green.

Acid-tongued judge Simon Cowell has allegedly told friends that the next series of The X Factor, which is currently being filmed would be his last before he focuses all his efforts on his new media company.

After Cheryl Cole won over the nation on her rookie year at The X Factor last year, she’s been tipped by Cowell to take over the reins.

Simon’s £20 million golden handcuffs deal is set to expire with ITV in December. ITV bosses are desperately trying to get Simon to sign up for another few years at the channel.

Simon has single-handily turn the channel into a ratings winner, with audiences of up to 20 million people tuning into the recent series of Britain’s Got Talent, so ITV are wiling to pay ‘whatever it costs’ to keep the media mogul on board.

It’s not yet known if he plans to continue with Britain’s Got Talent, and American Idol.
