Cheryl Cole owes Craig Balkam, her ex-bodyguard £70,000

Craig Balkam, who is Cheryl Cole’s former bodyguard, said that she owes him in unpaid salaries totaling £70,000.

Balkam claimed that he wasn’t paid even “a single cent” for protecting the “Call My Name” singer, when she was a judge at the X Factor USA for three months in 2011, before eventually getting fired.

This follows after news broke out that Cheryl, 29, is filing a lawsuit against the X Factor producers for $2.3 million in unpaid salaries, which also includes reimbursing her personal security expenses. Cheryl’s lawsuit also has claims that the producers owes her salary for the X Factor USA, second 2, under the “pay-or-play” agreement, which implies that she’s entitled to her compensation, even if she is to be released from the contract.

The Sun quoted Balkam, saying to a friend, “She’s got a lot of nerve – she’s ignored all my requests for payment. She has around £30 million in the bank and could pay me tomorrow with a click of her fingers, but is refusing to.”

“Craig would have taken a bullet for that girl. He can’t believe what’s happened,” the friend said.

Craig Balkam said he has spoken to a lawyer about suing Cheryl. Her spokesman refused to comment on the issue.
