X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has revealed in the new Girls Aloud autobiography ‘Dreams That Glitter’ that she lived a difficult childhood, as her family were so poor they struggled to eat.
The sexy solo artist, who is likely to take the number one spot in the charts today with her debut solo single, Fight For This Love, revealed she wore cast-off clothes and played with second hand toys during the difficult phase of her life.
She said: “We didn’t have any privileges. I remember living on baked beans, eggs and bread, if it wasn’t out of date. If we got a McDonald’s or a Chinese takeaway, oh my God, that was a treat, a luxury, because it was costing my mother a fortune.“
Cheryl Cole continued: “I’d get a Barbie that was four years out of fashion from a girl in the street who didn’t want it any more. And I’d get hand-me-downs from a girl up the road who had everything she wanted. Then she’d be like, ‘Ha ha! Cheryl’s got my jumper on!‘”
Well that might have been a tough childhood Cheryl, but look what you have achieved with your life now!!! And I’m sure the girl who bullied you about wearing her jumper is really eating her words now, taking into account the massive success you have become!!

omg, it must have been so tough for cheryl to grow up. she could barely afford to eat and had old clothes. If you really think about how we all live, its really sad
because of this i think cheryl is amazing! now shes topping the charts and has done sooooo much. she is my idol because shes gone from a girl who grew up arund drug takers and couldnt afford to basically live, to a girl whos an amazing solo artist, with girls aloud, on a loreal advert, married a famous football star, an x factor judge, and voted the most sexiet woman of the world! after all thats happened in her childhood! you have to look up toher because of this

but her lifestyle now still dosent make up for the life she had when he was a child i would be so despressed to make anything if i was poor its sad thhat her dad left her mom when she was 11
