X Factor judge and solo singer, Cheryl Cole has told the press that she’s scared about launching her solo career without the “safety blanket” of her Girls Aloud bandmates.
The sexy singer apparently wakes up in the middle of the night “sick with fear” about her solo career.
Cheryl debuted her solo single ‘Fight for This Love‘ on Radio One earlier this month, and perhaps didn’t get the praise she deserved. On the whole, most people weren’t keen on the track, although it did tend to grow on people after hearing it a few times.
Cheryl Cole is currently gearing up for the release of her debut solo album ‘3 Words‘ later this month, and is said to be terrified of stepping into the spotlight without her bandmates.
She told Sugar Magazine: “The thing is, for the past seven years the other girls have been my safety blanket. If I ever forget my words on stage or something, there’s always four other girls that can pick it up. Now I’m completely on my own. I wake up in the middle of the night sick with pure fear going, ‘What am I doing?‘”
Despite being scared, Cheryl is also very excited to be challenging herself by going solo. She said: “It’s good to feel frightened. Being out of your comfort zone isn’t always a bad thing.“
