Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole might still be living at her marital home, a £6 million mansion in Surrey, but she has said on a number of occasions that she doesn’t want the house when her divorce to Ashley Cole goes through.
With that in mind, Cheryl has been shopping around for a new home for some time, with her mother Jean supposedly checking out properties before Cheryl goes to see them. And The X Factor judge is reportedly interested in a new £2.5 million apartment in Hertfordshire.
Cheryl Cole – who is currently travelling the country for The X Factor auditions, split from Ashley Cole in Feberuary, and is now ready to put in an offer on the apartment, which is set in a gated complex.
A source close to the singer said: “She is weighing up her options, but it looks like she’ll be putting in an offer on the apartment soon. It’s the sort of place that will allow her to move her life on and erase all memories of homes she shared with Ashley. The apartment is close to London but in a scenic area.”
