Following news that Andrew Tweedy’s house was raided earlier this week after it emerged he was a suspect in an armed robbery, police have now charged him with the crime.
Cheryl Cole is reportedly reeling at news this morning after hearing her brother was up on the gun charge. 30-year-old Andrew Tweedy, was arrested when police smashed their way into his home on Tuesday, just 24 hours after the terrifying raid on a North Tyneside Post Office.
29-year-old Emma Stanners, who’s Tweedy’s girlfriend and the mother of his baby son, was also arrested last night and charged with money laundering. Tweedy was due before Magistrates today.
Nine suspects in total were arrested by police, two of which were charged with robbery. Five men are currently out on police bail pending further inquiries. The firearm used in the raid has been recovered by police.
