Cheryl Cole’s Plan to Prevent Paparazzi Bikini Photos

As The X Factor returned to our screens last night, Cheryl Cole and her husband Ashley are currently appealing against a declined planning application they’ve put forward for the construction of an underground swimming pool and gym at the pairs mansion.

The celebrity couple are seeking to create the underground pool to prevent aircraft and paparazzi from taking pictures of Cheryl and Ashley as they relax in their outdoor pool.

They’ve told planners they need to build the pool underground because they are so famous. Ashley and Cheryl Cole are worth an estimated £17million, and would like to build a 12×5 metre pool with a gym, spa, sauna and steam room.

Council chiefs have so far banned the scheme at their £3.5million Surrey estate, saying it would eat into the green belt (whatever that is!). The pair have now launched an appeal, and in documents uncovered by a national tabloid, Cheryl and Ashley have come up with a list of excuses for why they ‘need’ to have an underground pool and gym.

A source have said they are using every argument in the book to try and push through their planning application. In the documents, Ashley and Cheryl state they need the use of a gym for their line of work, and if they were to use a public gym, they would be plagued by fans.

Cheryl Cole would like to have a private swimming pool so she doesn’t have to worry about paparazzi snapping her in her bikini.

A source has today said: “By bringing up their celebrity status, they are leaving themselves open to accusations of ‘one rule for us and one for them’. I understand they get a lot of attention but rules are rules.”
