Cheryl Cole’s gigantic new rose tattoo, which extends all the way down to her lower back and across her buttocks and ends at her thigh tops, created a lot of frenzy on the social networking sites, when tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado revealed his latest creation on Saturday, Aug. 25.
Nikko, who owns the Hesperia, Calif. based Black Anchor tattoo studio, posted the picture of the tattoo on his Instagram account. The image showed huge, blood-red roses inked on Cheryl’s back and on her derriere.
Cheryl, 30, has confirmed that the image of the woman with a pink thong is hers and she’s been hiding the design for the last 8 months until the entire detailing was finished. The Call My Name singer also said that the sprawling tattoo required 15 hours to complete and the rose is her favorite flower.
Just within hours of the photo going online, people took to Twitter and expressed their opinions. Many expressed their disapproval, saying that the tattoo is a “mess”, “nasty”, horrific” and “vile”. However, some were very open-minded about it, with some praising the artwork as “superb” and “amazing”.
Earlier this year, during the Girls Aloud final reunion tour in The UK, fans were first given a glimpse of Cheryl’s tattoo while she was performing on stage. Its claimed that Cheryl has around 12 tattoos.
