Ever since Cheryl Cole debuted her solo single, Fight For This Love on Radio One with Chris Moyles last month, there has been a debate over how good or how bad the song is by her ‘fans’.
And after Cheryl Cole’s debut performance on The X Factor last night, the debate has been taken to a whole new level. One one side of the fence there are fans who love the song. On the other side, there’s fans describing Cheryl’s performance as ‘hideous‘.
Simon Cowell Praised Cheryl Cole’s X Factor Performance, insisting it was “incredible“, but as I mentioned yesterday in another post, a LOT of fans on Twitter widely slated her song, her costume, her choreography, just everything about it.
Some deemed it “embarrassing,” others said it was too “self-promoting,” (wasn’t that the point?) and others left comments over the stars raunchy outfit, which they deemed “ironic” given her criticism of last week’s losers Kandy Rain.

it was incrediable, i loved everything about the performance!
considering it was her first time alone infront of a live audiance at home and in the studio, her husband,fellow bandmates and the other judges i dont think it could have been better!!

omg! i don't understand how people don't like it! im a massive fan, so obviously i'd stand up for Cheryl, but i would admit if i agreed with people, but Cheryl's performance last night was fantastic. Even my friends, who aren't crazy over Cheryl, were saying how brill she did!
maybe we saw different to others? i think so.

Jon and Edward were rubbish, Rikki wasn't the best but the twins shud b out, I even prefered Kandy Rain to the twins. They aren't entertaining in the slightest and i mean u like westlife so that just shows ur poor taste in music, or you are Irish, and you have nothing to be proud of.

i don't think she was miming, her voice was really shaky and out of tune in parts. If she was miming it might have been better. I agree about Kandy Rain she criticised their outfits when her top was practically the same. I do like Cheryl as a person she seems very sweet I just don't think she has the voice to be a solo singer. Stick with Girls Aloud please!

Cheryl is a lovely girl, but her performance on Sunday was excrutiatingly bad. The simple truth is she can't sing. Had she been a contestant Simon would have slammed her, but of course he had to say the right thing. He looked uncomfortable doing it too. The girls this year are far better than she is so to have her sitting in judgement is just plain weird. The performance had to be live, no studio rendition could be as bad as that, it would be altered and tweaked until it sounded better.

The only reason she said those things to Kandy Rain was because they wanted to be taken seriously, Cheryl is taken seriously and i thought she looked fab!!! Fantastic song, i downloaded it and i WILL be buying the album when it comes out. And for those people who said it was shaky at times, she was singing and dancing and that's hard so of course it's gonna be shaky. I thought the dancing was amazing too especially at the end!! I think cheryl was right about wat she said 2 candy rain (and if u dont, dont get mad at me, every1s allowed their own opinion), they wanted 2 prove that they're serious about singing and want 2 put the past behind them, and then they come out dressed like strippers. But i think that saying because cheryl said those things to them, when they rn't famous yet, and because of wat they said about not wanting 2 b seen as strippers, and then cheryl coming on dressed how she was, was hypicritical, it's not. cheryl preformance was AMAZING! you have to admit it even if you dont like her. and i dont get why people thought she was miming, at the end she was very out of breath, she was DEFFONATELY singing live! i mean, also people are saying shes rubbish, and she was amazingggg! considering all the dancing + singing she had to do, and try to make it the best coz she is a judge, and the judges were judging her at the end AND her husband and girls aloud friends were watching, give her some credit!

i am not a girl band fan anyway but come on cheryl you cant sing at all not on your nelly. The only reason your so popular is girls aloud and nadine is a 1000x better. You look at the girl singers that have come thro on x factor and they are amzing sorry to say cheryl isnt. And im not jealous or anything like that believe me im not. Been married to that cheat come on!!!! Your like vb actually a wanna be the one couldnt sing. Stick to dressing nice. And as for what she said bout the twins i agree they shoul be long gone. I'm such a huge fan of Cheryl, and i dont see why she has lots of "haters"!.What you see is so what you get with Cheryl,when Cheryl says something she knows she shouldn't have like with the twins, she felt so bad but it just slipped out!,when she realised what she had said she went backstage and invited the twins to hers for dinner AND appoligised(although i dont see why!)..I love Cheryls new single, Shes worked very hard on everything and i love it as do alot of people or she would never have reached number 1!..As for critisising her outfit, there was nowt wrong with what she wore!, she looked great and obviously had to wear quite lose trousers to do the dancing she was doing!, As for her "critisising kandy rain", she never actually said anything out of order to them, kandy rain themselves had said they wanted everyone to forget the past and concentrate on their singing and not mention their past and for it to be forgotten about, what cheryl had said was just the truth, Cheryl again went backstage when she realised what she had said anyway, and appoligised and explained, they accepted it .
Keep doing what you do cheryl, i love it

Cheryl's performance was mediocre, it was part and part.. part live and part recorded, there was some complaints over the fact that the contestants on this show are "tested" on their performance and they HAVE to sing live, but it seems that established celebrities can get away with short changing their fans with either full miming or part and part, singing to a backing track. Cheryl did the latter, and it was obvious that she did, in parts you could hear her backing vocals, that were also her and she was not singing it, and that my friends is cheating! Simon had to say it was a good performance, but even though Cheryl is signed to Universal music label, Simon cannot afford to upset Louis Walsh and her too much, or he will lose two judges, and well what does Cheryl Cole actually know about talent, she is hardly an age old adversary to the talent spotting gene, she was a manufactured concoction of Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell, whilst Cheryl does not actually write or produce her own material, she is handed it on a plate from the likes of Louis or his teams of song writers, and how does a singer get to know a song, normally it is about their own experiences, their own thoughts, fears, etc, and that cannot be learnt, that has to be felt from the writing of the song in the first place. There is far more talent out there, and trust me, Cheryl Cole is far from talented!! Sorry but I do actually like the lady personally, and she is a very very pretty young lady, but as far as musically, she has about as much talent as hearing Louis Walsh singing in the bath, and trust me, I would not even pay to hear that!!

I'm not Cheryl fun but I thInk Ashely has the reson to be proud of their mariage, she got that performance. I beleive allow people who didn't like her perfomance might be either sing or modelist and wish to be at her position. Being a judge and being jude, come on!!!!!!!! that was fantastic

well lets all face it she can just about sing and she proves that in fight for this love video and when she sings live, witch she cant do, so no this preformance wasent as good but i was expecting that! her voice is in the 'safe' zone and she cant hit high notes shows in 'fight for this love' and evan when singin live she has to really concentrate, i.e on 'cheryl coles night in' i mean comeon she needs to push her self and try to hit NEW BOUNDRIES

I think she's absolutely incredible! It's aload of crap about the outfit and kandy rain, she said to them that when they were more established then they could wear out fits like that, And Cheryl is established so thereforeshe can wearthings like that. As for her vocals it was her first time on her own, can anybody honestly say they wouldn't be nervous doing something like that, She's a great role model for all teenage girls and people should back off and leave her alone! She puts people like katie price to shame!

Exactly. Cheryl has worked really hard to promote her single and get where she has, and she is an extremley successful lady. I'll probably never be as successful, although I'd like to be, just maybe not in the music industry. I'd love to meet Cheryl one day, get her autograph and just chat. She is such a great role model for young girls, she's so down to earth and never acts like she's too important to talk to you. Because all celebrities are are normal people, just their jobs mean they're in the limelight. That's all they are. And it just goes to show that you can achieve your dreams if you work hard. I thought that performance was pretty damn good! Wasn't too sure about the trousers, but I loved everything else about it. And that song is pretty hard to sing even if you're not under the watchful eye of the Cowell, because it hasn't got that many breathing spaces. Yes, she had a backing track, but only for the bits where she had to sing two things at once! Which is physically IMPOSSIBLE!!! She wiped the floor with Whitney, despite the fact everyone thought it was going to be the other way round. Whitney didn't actually sing for half of the song and her dress was far too long! (Is it just me, or did Whitney look pregnant when she was performing? Because she didn't look pregnant in the VT!)

cheryls performance wasn't "hideous" it was SENSATIONAL, she did so well, especially after all the stick she was getting about doing it live or not! I was sitting at home watching her and i felt so proud of her, i wanted to give her a really big hug after she had finished.I'm a REALLY BIG fan of cheryl , and my eyes she is a sensational girl ! xxx I LOVE YOU CHERYL COLE xxx
