As we reported a few days back, Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, which is Africa’s tallest mountain to raise money for Red Nose Day this year.
The girls, along with other celebrities such as Alesha Dixon, Gary Barlow, Ben Shephard, Chris Moyles, Denise Van Outen, Fearne Cotton and Ronan Keating all signed up for the mamoth climb which is estimated to take 8 days.
The team will need to climb 19,000 feet to the top of Africa’s largest mountain – and that means leaving the glitz and glam, the makeup and the mobile phones they are all used too, all behind, and pulling together as a team.
The group held a press conference a few days back to give a few details on what they will be attempting, and how they feel the climb will go.
Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh also released a personal video on how they will each cope with the challenge.
The climb will be filmed and broadcast on TV on the days leading up to Red Nose Day which is in March. Be sure to sponsor the gang at www.rednoseday.com. Other celebrity challenges which the annual charity event will hold this year includes a Celebrity Apprentice Special, with Britain’s toughest boss. Sir Alan Sugar.
