LOUIS Walsh has hit back at Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, calling him "pompous".

The X Factor judge put the boot in after Piers ridiculed his stand-in performance for Simon Cowell.

Piers, 45, joked that Louis got confused and kept telling non-singing acts they wouldn't land a record deal.

But Louis, 57, said: "I don't think he's a great judge. Piers is terribly pompous."

Then in a slight U-turn, he added: "But he's a nice man."

Louis also said he'd love the chance to work on BGT again.

Good old Louis. I totally agree with him. Piers is very pompous - a bit like Simon Cowell. But I love them both, so I don't care.
