How are you feeling about the show this year?I’m really looking forward to it, you just never know who, or more to the point, what will be stepping onto the stage next.
You were ill during the Birmingham auditions, how did it feel knowing Louis Walsh was sat in your judging chair?I think my main concern was if I would ever be able to get him to leave! Also I was kind of worried about what he, Piers and Amanda would be putting through. I know Amanda really missed me.
We’re now in the fourth year, do you still enjoy doing the show?I still love it, it’s so unpredictable.
In 2009 the show had fantastic talent are you worried the show can’t top that this year? That’s what makes this show fun – you never know what’s coming.
Do you worry about finding the right winner each year for The Royal Variety Performance?God yes, I mean there are some awful acts we have seen – usually Piers wants to put them through so if we get the wrong winner - it’s over!
Have Amanda and Piers been behaving themselves this year on the panel?Piers just gets more unbearable and pompous every year and Amanda spends her whole time either crying or laughing – there’s no in between with her.
What kind of act would you like to see win this year?A talented dog act.
How has the 4th judge been this year during auditions?Fantastic, the audience are the toughest judge of all - but they have been great.
Are you proud of the three BGT winners we’ve had so far?Yes, and of course some of the runners up, like Susan.
Do you still enjoy the British eccentric acts?I love them.
