I just want to give you an update with regards to all the
Girls Aloud Competitions we do on the site. When I started this forum, the idea of competitions didn't even come to me. It was two weeks after launch that I thought we could do some competitions to help give the forum a great launch and bring in new users - and to a large extent, it's been very successful.
When we decided to do competitions, we were going to do just two per month, but for the last 6 weeks solid, we have done competitions every single day. Thats great news for the forum, but its starting to become very expensive. While a small number of companies have donated a few prizes for the cause, all of the prizes come out of my own pocket, and thats come to around £650 so far.
So from today, we're going to stop doing daily competitions, and are going to do one, possibly two a week. Fridays is going to be competition day on the forum, they will run throughout the weekend and winners will be announced on Sunday evenings.
You'll still have the chance to win amazing prizes - as you've all been doing so far, but the competitions need to be scaled back a little to make this forum a viable, long-term success. I hope you can all respect and understand this decision.
