Today is the day we launch several new features to the Cheryl Cole Forum which I think you'll all be excited about.
First things first, some of you may have noticed that underneath certain users avatars, there is a new banner of either Girls Aloud or Cheryl Cole which has replaced the standard "stars" system that was in place before.
Basically now when you reach certain post counts, the stars on your account will be replaced with a Girls Aloud Image to signal to other members of your high post count. Here is the banners available, along with the post counts required for those images to appear under your profile.
Next, we're launching a brand new
awards system. Amber and Hollie gave me the ideas (each in separate emails), and I did some research, saw that there was nothing out there 'off the shelf' that I could use to achieve this, so I coded the system myself.
Right now there are five awards available which can be given to members of the forum. I intend to create more awards in the next few weeks (feel free to leave award ideas below).
Whenever a member is given an award, their latest award will show up beside every post on the forum.
Now the part where we differentiate ourselves from other websites.
Once per month, we'll be giving away an award called '
Member of the Month' Award. Not only will you get a banner, but a special prize too. It could be any prize, from books, posters, merchandise, signed pictures, canvas prints - literally anything we choose.
Additionally, the member of the month will be displayed on every single page of the forum, right at the top right hand corner of our website. So you'll win a prize, and one month's worth of recognition in the form of your name / photo at the top of the forum.
Seeing as how the awards are only being launched today, Ill also give out the first five awards today too. So here goes.

- Walsh Me Go wins the 'Best Thread' Award for her Cheryls funny momments/Quotes thread
