I've decided to make a new rule which will be enforced automatically via the forum software on all new posts people leave.

The idea suggested by Amber, was that we implement a 'minimum post length' for the forum, mainly because the users who write well thought-out replies, are starting to get a lot of replies that just say "agreed" or just a couple of smilies.

So now there must be a minimum of 5 words in your post or the forum software will not allow you to post your reply. We're going to leave it at 5 words for the minute, to see how it goes.

The reason we are doing this is because a forum - by it's very nature - is a place where people discuss topics, offer up their opinions, etc. We want to hear your opinion on a topic, not just a "yes", or a couple ofetc etc.

I hope you all understand and support this new change to the way posts are processed on the forum.
