I don't intend to start a war, but I don't think it's very honorable to use this place to bash the forum that feeds your own forum! And specially it's hypocritical to say you are not cheating. You steal, so you cheat. Competition is fair when it's healthy competition - the way you speak about Girls Aloud Media is not healthy at all.

But as the lovely chezzacolerocks said, I only registered to say this, which are my thoughts on the subject, and I don't intend to post in here again.

This thread merely said that we had passed the competition.. if you own similar sites then there will be some competition between the two.. especially as GAM is so huge. It was a big moment when this site passed GAM.

We're not hating towards GAM.. It's a good site But some of the members on here did say that the site is sometimes down, and slow at loading.

I'm sorry if you think that we are hating towards you guys at GAM.. but honestly.. I don't see it like that. Not at all.

No. The user isn't a GAM spy. People on GAM aren't bothered by Andrew's pathetic behaviour. GAM has been running over 5 years. When this forum gets to that point, GAM will be even bigger. By the time this forum gets to that point, Girls Aloud will be over. This site looks like a complete copy of GAM, it has the same sections, exactly the same content. Do you only have a GAM account to steal the content?!

Stealing peoples personal tour pictures is very low and GAM isn't a Cheryl hate forum, her biggest stans/fans have been on there for a very long time. GAM is a Girls Aloud forum anyway not a Cheryl forum. People are allowed to express an opinion.

Seriously. Change the look of your forum, stop trying to be a copy. It's going to take a lot longer than 12 months to take over GAM.

Clearly I hit a nerve in my last post - it obviously compelled a few of you GAM people to come and sign up here, just to leave a response!!

This forum steals the look of GAM does it??? The way I see it, GAM installed an off-the-shelf forum script, it's still running the very same theme that comes with the script, its old, its clunky, its horrible to look at.

This site is a unique design, custom-made an you know what, i couldn't give a toss what you think about me, or this website. As for us stealing from you, may I ask, WHERE Do you get all the professionally-taken pictures from? Elsewhere on the internet. THEN you add your own watermark claiming you are the people that are responsible for those pictures.

And another thing with regards to stealing, your ENTIRE MEDIA SECTION is a legal-battle waiting to happen. You and your members have ripped into your computers copyrighted DVDs, TV shows, TV Appearances and all the rest, and are providing a platform for people to take and use that copyrighted content with no credit to the original copyright holder, so before you jump on your high horse and claim the moral high ground, take a look at your own site before throwing your toys out of the pram.

In the meantime, GAM and Laura, you are not welcome on this website, so consider yourself banned. We don't need people who are full of hatred in our community, so go play with the busses somewhere else.

I think GAM is beautiful, the layout is gorgeous actually, and people pay for those pictures from their own bank account to get them for us. so after buying them .. they are theres? well sort of. and where do you get your media from? hard to say the same eh?
 
Andrew, no one is hating. we are stating our opinions of what they think of you & your website. you have got to admit it is basically a copy of GAM with a different theme/pictures etc. but same old layout and threads.
 

a lot of the people on there arent all that friendly, there is a lot of slagging off towards Cheryl on their. It's supposed to be a damn fansite, not a slag-off-Cheryl site.

We have simply come along, have put out a better product which is a lot easier to use, and im not going to apologise for that, not to anybody. As for being sly about it, I don't know where that has come from. I have been nothing but honest about my goals, about the way I feel about them, about the shortcomings in their site and their management of the site - if thats your definition of sly, then its miles away from mine!

Sly to me is when you do something behind somebody's back, doing something by cheating, we're not doing any of that. We're being upfront, we're being honest, we have a good product, and that's the way it's going to stay!

Im sorry but if you don't like that, or the way this site is run, www.girlsaloudmedia.com/smf is the place for you.

not friendly?    are you serious? they are sooooo friendly it's unreal. first day i joined i met about 10 people there all chatting and they continue to be lovely. and it's a girls aloud fan site, so everyone is allowed to dislike Cheryl and have opinions. sly to me means cheeky and snake-y trying to be better than them. maybe GAM is the place for me.

Thats not what people have been saying around here. You look around our forum, even back on this thread, and there are multple people who have complained that GAM is not a very friendly place, and that there are a lot of Cheryl haters there.

With regards to your come-back about where do we get our pictures from - WE DO NOT TAG THEM, and we credit the original owner.

I see you totally glossed over the fact that your all committing copyright violations on everything in the media section of their site.

Im not going to argue about this anymore, so im going to lock this thread. I don't have to justify my actions, nor do I have to apologise for putting out a product which is miles better than theirs. At least this damn website actually works when you pull it up in a browser, and you haven't got to worry that registrations will be closed off one day, threads take a decade to load the next blah blah blah blah!

OH, One of the other GAM Fanboys earlier mentioned how we have ads everywhere so I can make money from this site. YEH, I do have ads, but they are hardly intrusive are they??? At least we don't have to rely on our members to contribute money just to keep the website online.

At the end of the day, as much as this website is a hobby, we run all our websites as a business, and when your giving away hundreds of pounds worth of FREE PRIZES every single week, Im sure our members don't mind a few adverts around the place.

You go over to GAM and use their site - clearly they are a much better match for you.
