Hey Guys,
It seems that more and more, we are going off-topic in a lot of the posts. For example, theres a post I wrote about
Cheryl and Ashley's Relationship in Pictures. It, as have many others, gone massively off-topic, most of the time started between a select few of us, myself included.
So from today I am going to impose a
non off-topic rule for a period of
one week, just to see how it goes. I am going to impose this for
all areas of the forum except the General Conversations section. In that area of the forum, anything goes.
But for all other categories, I would please like you to try and keep all conversations related to the original topic. We are doing this because when new users visit, they are signing up for a Cheryl Tweedy and Girls Aloud forum. If they go into a thread which they think is about a Girls Aloud tour, and the majority of the thread is taken up by random conversation, they are less likely to stick around.
So this is for the good of the forum, and I would respecfully ask that you all help in implementing this new policy. Yes, It is inevitable that threads in forums can veer off course from the original topic. But rather than drag a thread off topic, please start a new thread in the General Conversations area of the forum and have that discussion there.
This rule will be imposed from the time of publishing this thread, and will be enforced by myself and other admins on the website. As I said, we
do not want to limit the conversations or topics you want to talk about, we just want to keep them in the appropriate area of the forum.
So General Conversations = anything goes. All other areas of the forum = remain ON topic.
Thank you. I'll update again next Sunday with how the trial has gone, and whether we will introduce this as a permanent rule.
