CAROLINE Flack is set to replace Holly Willoughby as the host of ITV2's Xtra Factor, TV Biz can reveal.


ITV is poised to offer the star a £100,000 contract to front the popular spin-off, which airs after the main X Factor show on ITV1.

Friends of Caroline say the deal was sealed after she flew to Los Angeles last week to meet show guru Simon Cowell - and he gave her the thumbs up.

One pal said: "Simon gave her an audience in LA so it looks like it's all sorted. We're now 99 per cent sure that she will get the gig."

Caroline, 29, has slowly increased her profile on ITV - after fronting ITV2 spin-off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now! last year.

And she currently co-hosts ITV1's The Whole 19 Yards with Vernon Kay.

Holly, 29, was widely tipped to give up the Xtra Factor job after replacing Fern Britton, 52, on This Morning.

Noooo. I want Chim Moments on The X Factor.

Who the hell is Caroline Flack anyways?? Im sure the price had an awful lot to do with this decision, if true. Kimberley Walsh would have cost considerably more money to hire than this Caroline bird.


Plus Simon wouldn't want to be seen to be just hiring Kimberley just because Cheryl is best friends with her and she's successful.
