Sales of Nadine Coyle's first solo single have been disappointing, according to reports
Nadine Coyle reportedly sold just 117 copies of her debut solo single on its first day of release.
The singer, who is reported to have fallen out with her fellow Girls Aloud stars, looks likely to occupy Number 35 in the midweek chart, according to The Sun.
Nadine signed an exclusive deal with Tesco to release her solo material. But only 117 copies of single Insatiable were sold through the supermarket on Monday, according to official first-day sales figures, the newspaper said.
Nadine, who has flown from her Los Angeles base to London to promote her new music, racked up just 2,439 digital sales.
Cheryl Cole, in contrast, shifted 566 hard copies of track Promise This and 27,643 on the internet in her second week of sales. The X Factor judge sold 157,000 copies in the first week, getting to number one in the chart.
Appearing on ITV1's Daybreak, Nadine remained upbeat, saying there was "no reason" why Girls Aloud should not perform together again.
Rumours about the group's future have been rife since they announced in July last year they were taking a year off to concentrate on solo projects
But when asked if there was a chance of Girls Aloud getting back together to record or play live, she said: "I would say so, I would say there is no reason, there's no excuse if everybody is happy enough to get back and do that."
Nadine, who moved to Los Angeles, is engaged to her American football star boyfriend Jason Bell and owns a bar in the city.
