Simon Cowell revealed there would be a boy band special coming up

Simon Cowell has let slip that Take That, JLS and Westlife will all perform on the same X Factor show.

During the Xtra Factor phone-in, Simon was answering a caller's question about his last remaining act, One Direction, when he accidentally revealed the news.

Realising his mistake, he said: "I probably shouldn't have said that."

According to the X Factor's unofficial blog website, the battle of the boy bands will take place on November 14.

Recently, Westlife took a swipe at JLS over launching their own range of condoms.

"It does make you think, 'What are they doing?'" Mark Feehily told Metro.

Kylie Minogue and Shayne Ward will perform on the show next week
