What qualifies Cheryl Cole to judge this competition? She's had relatively minor success as a singer, hasn't written any lyrics or melodies and has only been on the scene for just a few years. I don't see any credibility at all.

Surely someone like Barbara Dixon would have vastly more credibility with the audience?

I tend to agree actually, I'm not denying she's easy on the eye but didn't JK nail it recently by asking the same question?

Someone like Sonia, the 80's Stock, Aitken and Waterman icon would surely be a more credible choice.

I think you could question the credibility of any of the judges, For Cheryl she has been through the reality television contest and found major success. Two number one solo albums. Mainly her presence on tv has seen her star rise.
