X FACTOR fans reacted with fury last night after Katie “Weasel” Waissel survived the axe yet again.

 The under-fire blonde pulled off a miracle, scraping through to the next round despite finding herself in the sing-off for the fourth time.

Her lucky escape was greeted with boos by the studio audience and slammed by viewers as it emerged she was saved by a last-minute U-turn by bosses

Katie’s lack of viewers’ votes for her rendition of Sir Elton John’s Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting forced her into a battle for survival against 18-year-old Aiden Grimshaw.

But while judges Dannii Minogue, 39 and Louis Walsh, 57, voted to send her home, Simon Cowell, 51 and Katie’s mentor Cheryl Cole opted to save her. It meant the public vote decided the outcome – and Aiden went home.

But the result sparked cries of a “fix” from the show’s angry viewers who believe bosses meddled with the format to give Katie a chance of surviving.

They were supposed to stage a double elimination that would have certainly seen Katie sent home. However, the show’s top brass made a U-turn at the 11th hour which paved the way for Katie to survive another week.

But fans bombarded internet forums and Twitter to register their fury that the 24-year-old is still in the competition.

On Twitter a girl called Tess stormed: “It’s unbelievable and the way she acted pulling faces, grabbing poor Aiden was truly desperate.”

Another fan wrote: “How the hell is she still in the competition?

“What on earth is going on?”

Katie has been dubbed “Weasel” by viewers fed up with her drama queen antics both on and off the camera.

She faced a huge backlash last week after she survived despite forgetting her words, sitting down and swearing during the sing-off.

Katie was saved then when 27-year-old Cheryl controversially decided not to vote at all – a decision that sent Treyc Cohen, 27, home instead.

I seen this coming as soon as the decision was made last night. I am not a Katie fan but I have to admit she sang better than Aiden imo. She will still be in the bottom again next week.

I think Katie sang the last song much better than Aiden, but also I think that its a disgrace that Wagner got through as he cannot sing at all.  What a joke!

Its the facebook campaign that is keeping Wagner in, hopefully he will go soon.
