Britain’s beloved pop star and X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole, has been named as UK’s very own Celebrity Hero of the Year, according to a recent poll. The singer came out on top on Virgin Media poll, which was conducted to find Britain’s celebrity heroes and villains in 2010.
In the process, the 27-year-old singer has beaten Anne Widdecombe of Strictly Come Dancing fame and X Factor loser Wagner to reach the summit. Other Celebrity Heroes that have won the heart of the UK people include Johnny Depp and Emma Watson. The rest of the top five also include Prince William and his bride-to-be Kate Middleton.
Not surprisingly, voted as UK’s celebrity villain of the year is Manchester United’s football star Wayne Rooney – while Justin Bieber secured a second place. We couldn’t really fathom why anyone would see Justin Bieber as a villain – but we couldn’t agree more with Cheryl’s top position.
