British girl group Girls Aloud have confirmed that they will be going their separate ways next year to work on solo projects; but the babes have assured fans it’s only a “temporary split.”
The news was made official yesterday after two of the band members, Cheryl Cole and Sarah Harding confirmed the rumours were true; the other members of the group have also agreed a temporary split would be good whilst each work on solo projects.
Cheryl Cole started work on solo material only 3 weeks ago with plans to have her first solo album out ‘early next year’. The Girls Aloud babe’s fame has leapfrogged the other members in the fame stakes since becoming a judge on The X Factor. She was also crowned Worlds Sexiest Female by FHM magazine and Best Dressed Woman by another glossy mag.
According to a press release by Girls Aloud‘s management, the other members of the group will be working on a range of projects in “music to acting to beauty to fashion”. Sarah Harding is keenly pursuing an acting career, and appeared in her first TV show on BBC2 a few days ago.
Girls Aloud fans shouldn’t be worried though. This Is only a ‘Temporary Split” as the girls signed a new 3-album record deal only 2 months ago, so this certainly isn’t the end of Girls Aloud.
