Girls Aloud, they’ve conquered the critics and the country alike with their electro-influenced pop, and have notched up more consecutive top ten singles than any other girl band in the history of music. With all that under their belt, the girls are set to embark on their forth arena tour in the wake of their latest album, ‘Out of Control‘
Originally the girls were to plan a short 8-date tour, but due to huge public demand, that has now been expanded to a 32-date arena tour of the UK. The tour is to kick off in Manchester on Friday 24th April 2009 and is to be under the same name as their new album, ‘Out of Control‘.
Nadine Coyle said: “We can’t wait to get back out on the road to see our fans and play the music that we love from the past albums and especially playing the new songs in those arenas, we look forward to seeing you all there.“
The Out of Control Tour comes hot on the heels of Girls Aloud’s sold out arena tour in 2008, ‘Tangled Up’. Despite this constant stream of successes, the band didnt feel any pressure working on the Out of Control album: “We were probably the most relaxed we’ve ever been but we still wanted to make this album the best we have ever done,” says Nadine.
A massive 100,000 tickets for the Out of Control Tour were snapped up in less than 50 minutes, that’s over 2,000 tickets sold each minute.
