The most talked about girl band in the country right now has to be Girls Aloud, and they landed in Belfast for the Ireland leg of their Out of Control Tour on April 28th 2009.
Kicking off the first of three shows at the Odyssey Arena, the stunning five-piece proved themselves to be true Queens of pop yet again.
The girls have been in the industry for seven years now, and with five albums under their belts, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberly Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle certainly delivered the performance of their lives as they set to work proving their critics wrong!
When Girls Aloud appeared on stage, thousands of screaming fans welcomed them with open arms, the pop babes launched into their Brit-Award winning track, The Promise wearing a slinky long white and silver glittery dresses. The girls soon dumped the sophisticated look and whipped off their long skirts in favour of shorter ones. The fans were clearly pleased.
The show continued to get sexier throughout the night, with the show eventually taking a dominatrix twist as they appeared in black leotards and hot pants dancing along to Britney’s Womanizer hit single. Much of the focus was on the girls latest album from which the Out of Control Tour gets its name with new hits such as The Loving Kind and Untouchable getting a great reaction from the crowd.
With two more nights to go, Girls Aloud are certainly bringing Something Kinda Oooh to Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on 28th April 2009.
