Girls Aloud performed at the Sheffield Arena last weekend on Saturday April 25th 2009.
With 20 consecutive Top 10 hits already under their belts, including four number ones, there was no shortage of material when the girls staged the second night of their Girls Aloud Out of Control tour in Sheffield.
It wasn’t just the fireworks which exploded when Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh made their grand entrance onto the stage, shooting up on individual platforms elevated above the sell-out crowd below. The fans went wild.
Dressed in elaborate glittering silver costumes the girls kicked off their two-hour show with the song which landed them their first ever Brit Award this year – The Promise. Hits including Biology and Love Machine followed, as well as numbers from their latest album.
Sheffield Arena was the band’s second stop on the nationwide tour and, in the words of Cheryl Cole, herself: “It’s going to be a hard crowd to beat.” Checkout the pictures and videos below: Girls Aloud’s Out of Control Tour at the Sheffield Arena on Saturday 25th April 2009.
