Its been the subject of attention for months now, Girls Aloud’s reunion to perform at a Coldplay gig last night and tonight at Wembley Stadium.
The five Girls Aloud beauties are currently on a 12 month ‘temporary split’ while they each pursue solo projects. The girls agreed to a gig supporting Coldplay at Wembley Stadium while they were on their Out of Control Tour earlier this year.
Just a few days ago the girls got together for their final rehearsals first time in months, and had to be told off on a number of occasions for gossiping. Their choreographer also had to ban mobile phones from rehearsals so the girls would concentrate. Nadine Coyle said: “We felt like a bunch of naughty school girls.“
Nicola Roberts said in a recent interview: “Coldplay asked us to do the gig because they like what we do. So for us to turn around and scrap a few songs and do a few covers to try and please the rock crowd – that’s not what Girls Aloud are all about.“
The red-haired beauty also said that the audience would be well entertained with further opening sets from the likes of Jay-Z and White Lies. She continued: “You’ve got the pop element there, you’ve got the indie element there and you’ve got the hip-hop element there. I think anybody who comes – whether it’s a man, a woman, a young teenage girl, a young teenage boy – I think everybody will be entertained.“
