James Arthur tops Cheryl Cole for the fastest selling single of 2012

James Arthur has broken Cheryl Cole’s record of the fastest selling single of 2012.

The 24-year-old, X Factor champ of this year, achieved the feat within two days since his new single, “Impossible” was released for download.

According to The Official Charts Company, the track sold more than 255,000 copies until midnight on Wednesday, December 12, which has exceeded The Girls Aloud singer’s “Call My Name” which reached 152,000 copies in first week sales in June.

Meanwhile, James Arthur confessed that he had a little crush on Chezza. Arthur gushed that he loves the former X Factor judge very much and would marry her in an instant.

He said, “Oh God, I love that woman so much I would marry her in a heartbeat. She’s just like the nation’s sweetheart, isn’t she? And she’s from the North East, you can’t get much better than that.”
