Joe McElderry: Somebody To Love on The X Factor Video

Joe McElderry - Somebody To Love on The X FactorAfter Simon Cowell changed the theme of this weeks show from Dance Week to Queen Week in an emergency meeting last Sunday night, The X Factor contestants really stepped upto the mark when it came to show time this evening.

Mentored this week by two of Queen’s stars, Guitarist Brian May and Drummer, Roger Taylor, Joe McElderry got great comments from the music legends.

Joe McElderry sang Somebody to Love, one of Queen’s biggest hits, which was written by the late Freddie Mercury in 1976 and featured on their ‘A Day At The Races’ album. To be fair, I thought Joe gave his best performance since appearing on the show, but the judges didn’t give the comments I felt he should have got.

Checkout the video below.

Joe McElderry – Somebody To Love on Queen Week

Judges Comments

Dannii Minogue:You bring it on every week.”

Louis Walsh: I love your stage craft. I think the choir helped you.

Simon Cowell:I think you sang better last week. The song slightly overwhelmed you.”

Cheryl Cole: It’s irrelevant what they say. You are technically the best singer in this competition.
