Joe McElderry kicked off The X Factor this evening with a song he performed back in his first audition, a song which he sang brilliantly.
Next performance up for Joe was his biggest, and the one which probably secured him a place in tomorrow nights grand final. A performance with the legendary George Michael, who came out of retirement to sing with Joe this evening. The pair sung an Elton John and George Michael classic, Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

Final song of the evening for Joe was the one chosen by his mentor, Cheryl Cole. Cheryl chosen her favourite performance by Joe this season, which happened to be another Elton track, Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
So did Joe McElderry deserve his place in the grand final tomorrow night? Can he win the competition and that record contract? Leave your comments below please….
