Lloyd Daniels: Crazy Little Thing Called Love on The X Factor – Video

Lloyd Daniels is probably the contestant which struggled most when it came to picking and singing a Queen hit.

And that really came across in his performance. Although he wasn’t as bad as we were all expecting, he was probably one of the contestants which struggled the most this week on The X Factor.

With a kind of blues tone to his voice, it suited Lloyd Daniels to do Crazy Little Thing Called Love, which was Queen’s first US number 1 hit, and the hit which Queen do particularly well live.

What I couldn’t believe with Lloyd is he said in the pre-video that he didn’t even know who Queen were. When he Brian May and Roger Taylor walked into the room, Lloyd had absolutely no idea they were the band members which initially founded Queen, before even Freddie was on the scene.

Dannii Minogue: “I think you have now arrived, that was a great performance.“

Louis Walsh: “Lloyd it was so much better than last week, much better, and it looked like you were having a good time. You’ve much improved, but you have to work hard to be better next week.“

Simon Cowell: “I sort of agree with the others, but you are sort of like a puppy taking part in the grand national. The shows too big for you but you’re having fun at the same time. It was actually better than last weeks performance, mainly because you have started to lighten up a little bit and have fun now.“

Cheryl Cole: “It’s been lovely for me to watch you this week Lloyd, I think you have really come into your own, this is what you really need to build up your confidence, and I really feel the penny dropped for you this week, and I’m excited to see what we can do further on.“
