Today the Daily Mail is running a story on a young 19-year-old girl named Amber McDermott, who does her utmost to recreate Cheryl Cole’s look, day-in-day-out, but who cannot find a boyfriend.
In a bid to emulate Cheryl Cole’s style, Amber regularly splashes out £100 on hair extensions, buys new clothes and spends around £50 a month on make-up. “I spend an hour a day washing and curling my hair to look like Cheryls. Lip gloss is the finishing touch. It instantly makes me feel and look more like her.“
Well at least you can stop paying £100 a month for hair extensions, as Cheryl Cole Removed Her Hair Extensions recently. But just as Cheryl allegedly experienced problems with her marriage last year, Amber is also struggling to find love. “Hundreds of men say I’m stunning and I look like Cheryl, but I can’t find Mr Right. I just don’t get it. I want someone to treat me well, but boys always cheat on me. I’d rather stay single than forgive a love rat.“
Looking like Cheryl Cole means Amber is stopped in the street and asked to sign autographs. She also gets special treatment at night clubs but the attention has a down side as the receptionist struggles to trust men. Amber blames her striking looks as the reason she cant find a suitable boyfriend.
She said: “It’s only cocky bad boys who don’t find me intimidating. I imagine that it’s always been the same for Cheryl. I still love looking like her, though. I’m hoping to be signed up as a professional lookalike. When someone mistakes me for her, I get a buzz. I don’t want that to end.“
Hey Amber, have you ever considered the old saying that “If you’re not happy with yourself, nobody else will be?” You are clearly not happy with yourself if you find you have to emulate Cheryl Cole’s look and style.
As for blaming your “striking good looks and your Cheryl look-alike” as the reason you cant find a boyfriend, how about you stop TRYING to look like Cheryl, and BE YOURSELF!!!

She looks a tiny bit like cheryl, with simular hair and makeup. But theese people who ''continue'' to ''mistake'' her for cheryl are obviously partially blind. I think cheryl cole is prettier, she doesnt have cheryl's eyes! But I also think cheryl cole wears too much makeup and can sometimes look abit cheap and plastic (there is no need for it). This amber girl also looks cheap and tarty, that is the reason for men not being very interested, she's far too big headed also (and isnt even beautiful) I've seen prettier women who do not love themselves as much as this girl. She also lacks originality for trying to be exactly like cheryl (which is un attractive) I'm sure cheryl cole would also tell her to be herself and embrace it. And maybe she should stop obsessing over men so much and chill out. Men can see how desperate she is and its off putting.

i actually worked with and new this girl, she is the nicest person you will ever meet, she is not big headed at all!, dont believe everything they quote. she looks like cherly cole in real life and is a beautiful person.
she also does not hate herself but if you could be paid to be a look a like are you telling me you wouldn't go all out aswell!!!
