New Girls Aloud Album Coming Next Summer

Despite the rumours that Girls Aloud have split up, a lot of people still don’t realise the move is a ‘temporary split’ while each of the members pursue solo projects.

But today we got word that Girls Aloud are planning to reform early next year, with an album planned for release in the summer.

One of the groups best songwriters and producers, Brian Higgins is already penning tracks for the sexy five-some. Kimberley told Digital Spy: “He’ll be writing already. He’ll have carried on writing even just when we finished our last album, so hopefully we’ll get in the studio next year – summer, hopefully.”

But Kimberley Walsh – who has no plans to release any solo material herself – admitted there are no definite plans laid out for the recording or release of the new album. “We’ve never ever planned in terms of months or weeks. It’s always a rush but that’s part of the madness that actually helps us somehow.“

“Maybe it’s the pressure? Once we say, ‘Right, we’re going to come in and do an album’, creatively Brian will be like ‘right right right!’ I think sometimes that works better. We fly by the seat of our pants. We do everything last minute but it works,” she said.

And the sexy girl group have their beady eyes set on a Christmas number one for 2010 too. At the BBC Switch Live event Kimberley said: “We’ve all got bits and pieces going on but hopefully we’ll get the record out by the end of 2010.“
