Fans up and down the country tuned in to the TV talent show, which was revamped to resemble the auditions of Britain’s Got Talent, meaning its now filmed in front of a live studio audience.
Favorites of the night included Danyl Johnson, a 27 year-old teacher, and single mum Stacey Soloman, 19. Jo McElderry, 18 also made a great impression on Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
Saturday nights ratings for the show came very close to The X Factor‘s biggest ever audience of 14million, which was seen on last years final, which was won by Cheryl Cole’s act, Alexandra Burke.
